EAT
Bar Vera, CANGGU
Not only is the food here stand out, but the architecture of this place had us drooling! In a building built sky high in terracotta breeze blocks, Bar Vera ranks high on our list! its boujee and moody atmosphere plus its delish bites make it a must visit. Our highlights were the potato bread, pork jowl and lamb skewers and for a cheeky dessert, the espresso martinis!
Shelter, PERERENAN
Off the back of our experience last trip - we simply had to return to crowd fave, Shelter. We loved dining alfresco again in the garden and couldn't go past the wood-fired scallops and truffled stracciatella cheese with a side of on point spicy margs!
 Red Gunpowder, PERERENAN
We were craving flavour that packed a punch and Red Gunpowder did not disappoint! A cool Indian restaurant with all your fave Indian delights with a modern twist. We just had to get our usual faves Vindaloo and Butter chicken plus cheesy garlic naan to mop it all up and wow were we impressed! Loved the vino list with plenty of European options too!
Ulekan, BERAWA
We were craving an Indo menu for our last night so booked the most raved about Indonesian in town, Ulekan. Divine timing meant we even got to see a traditional Indonesian dance performance while we were there! Satay sticks with a side of Balinese Pet nat a must!
DRINK
Te Amo, CANGGU
Three words: BEST. SPICY. MARG. We stumbled across this place for a bev while looking for a dinner spot and what a find it turned out to be! The spicy marg which wasn't even on the menu was complete with dried pineapple and jalapeno with a side of homemade crackers with butter!
We worked out when in Bali that there's nothing better than playing card games at a venue over a cocktail! Tarot Bar was such a vibe with its moody interior and Tarot cards gracing every table that you can play with yourself. There's even an in house tarot reader to read fortunes! we will be back!
We learnt last Bali trip what a speakeasy bar was so we were on a mission to find another one in Canggu. The very hard to find Shady Pig with secret door that requires a password to enter was a whole lotta fun. Old school cocktail menu and prohibition style decor made it the perfect spot for a night cap! Epic playlist and dj booth brought all the good vibes too! perfect for a date night!
SHOPPING
Gorgeous boutique with a few locations that stocked a range of independent cute brands. Really affordable quality gold plated jewellery was a highlight!
Bali Resin
Again we couldn't go past this incredible resin shop! It's moved to the marketplace beside Labrisa, and I (Ness) couldn't leave without getting my hands on another wiggly fruit bowl in bright pink and a trinket dish. I have a strange suspicion that next trip I will walk away with more!
La Brisa Sunday market
We stumbled across this really cool market full of independent designers offering a huge range of products from homewares, to jewellery, to beauty products to small goods and delicious food - it really did have it all. This market runs every Sunday from 10-4pm. be prepared for huge crowds!
  SELF CARE
Nothing could stop us from going back to old faithful Gold Dust. Treat yo'self to a 60 min massage and you won't be disappointed. Extra points for the delish complimentary ginger tea with watermelon pieces on arrival! hot tip -  book in advance!
In Villa massage
Highly recommend an in villa massage! Right before we left for the airport I booked an in villa massage and it was the perfect end to the holiday - relaxed and ready for flying!
